After starting out as a dental assistant in 1986, she found her calling to work in the front office. Over the years she has worked all aspects of the administrative side to dentistry. Wendy will usually be the one to greet you and is enjoying getting to know everyone. She feels blessed to work with such dedicated and compassionate people. She enjoys time with friends and family, her three cats, crafting and reading.

She has enjoyed expanding her dental knowledge, as well as getting to know our wonderful patients. Holly is grateful to work with such a fantastic staff who exhibit excellence and integrity every day. When not thinking about teeth and dental insurance, Holly loves spending time with her family and friends, especially if that includes a nice cup of coffee. She also enjoys yoga, walks, and getting lost in a good book.

Jeanie has 7 years of dental office experience, working in the front and back. She values patient representation. Having moved from Arizona, Jeanie loves the Oregon rain. She also enjoys outdoor activities, like hiking and cycling, as well as the fresh produce and flowers at the farmer’s markets. She loves to cook and try new recipes. She has assisted with bookkeeping for three, and now four, companies and multiple clients. She enjoys riding bikes with her husband, art, writing, and reading the Bible.

Rachel

Rachel has been with the practice since 1991 and has been a chairside assistant to Dr. Lawrence for this time. She feels very fortunate to have had the opportunity to assist one doctor for so long and develop great relationships with the patients. Her mission is threefold: serve patients, be available, and keep the doctor on time! Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Brett, their two sons, Cody and Gunnar, knitting, and working on never-ending home improvement projects.

Shelly

Shelly

Assistant

For over ten years, Shelly has been working alongside Dr. Scheffel as a dental assistant. After staying home with her children for 12 years, she decided to go back to school to learn something new and exciting. She graduated in 2010 and immediately started in our office at that time. She loves learning new techniques and is excited about meeting all of our patients and helping them with their dental needs. We love her constant happy personality, as do our patients. When not working, Shelly enjoys being home with her husband, two sons, a dog, a cat, and four chickens.

Shideh

Shideh

Assistant

Shideh received her dental assisting certificate in 1991 right after she moved here from Tehran, Iran. Working with Dr. Scheffel at OHSU was her first job as a dental assistant. While working full time she pursued her dream job and received her Masters Degree in teaching. After 22 years of working part time at the dental school and part time with us, she is happy that she chose to stay in the health care industry. She is inspired by people who help others for a living. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, practicing yoga, and enjoys cooking for family and friends.
